“Museo della Follia” (‘Museum of Madness’) is the title of the exhibition curated by Vittorio Sgarbi and hosted at the Castello Ursino in Catania. The exhibition combines 68 oils, 12 drawings and four sculptures by Antonio Ligabue, 26 works (paintings and collages) of the painter Peter Ghizzardi, sculptures by Cesare Inzerillo and many other works about madness realized from 1600 to the present day.

In addition, the documentary materials of great importance: the story of the Law 180, a kind of Wunderkammer of alienation that exposes straitjackets, electroshock equipment, mouth opener, drugs, ninety portraits of psychiatric patients, the Inquiry on judicial psychiatric hospitals and two documentaries, made by RAI, about the Laws 180 and Basaglia.
