Tourì houses the images by Renato Zacchia

Tourì, the new tourist info point in the heart of the city, hosts with great pleasure the image collection of the international photographer Renato Zacchia. “Etna, luogo di leggende” (Etna, place of legends): where myth becomes history of folk and landscape, and where the lava stone becomes architecture.

The artist will participate to the exhibition, which will be open on July 21st at 20.00 pm and shown in Tourì until September 21st.

The “tenant” with its stories will fill our place and will give a meaningful welcome to tourist who will have the chance to buy his best works, for bringing with them a note of italian and sicilian talent.

After the degree in scenery at Accademia di Belle Arti of Catania, Zacchia gain a foothold as a professional in the USA and abroad: he was still photographer for the last documentary film about Sicily by Michelangelo Antonioni, portrayed  Rudollf Nurejev, Giancarlo del Monaco, Mastislav Rostropovitch, Oleg Cassini, Mira Sorvino, Milla Jovovich, Nicola Bulgari and Richard Avedon, from 1997 he was official photographer of Ferrari NA and today of Maserati SpA, documenting the most important global events.

Zacchia immortalized the greatest four-wheel wildest dreams: Maserati, Ferrari, Bentley, Porsche, Lamborghini and the other miracles of automotive engineering. His pictures had been published on international publications and exhibited at the most prestigious photographic galleries of New York (Lincoln Center), Charleston, San Francisco, Washington e Cuba.
